We participate in many village activities - the fete, quiz nights, and so on - but do not hold any specific ringing events.
However, we are already planning to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, with a special ring (details to be announced nearer the time).

Captain John Cooke, who was killed in the early stages of the battle on his ship, HMS Bellerophon, is commemorated in the church by a tablet on the wall.    He lived just up the hill but next door to the church.    HMS Bellerophon was later to carry Napoleon Buonaparte to the island of St Helena.

On Remembrance Sunday, we ring the bells half-muffled after the commemoration service at the War Memorial, while the people walk down to the church.
